The TuiNa and DeDa blog is for anyone that practises or is studying TuiNa and/or DeDa. Currently there is no legal recognition of TuiNa and DeDa as a health modality, so practitioners are not recognised and cannot get registered. Furthermore, the AHPCSA is "gatekeeping" and blocking the accreditation of TuiNa diploma courses with relevant South African Qualification authorities.
Currently, the only Chinese Medicine course accredited by the AHPCSA is the masters offered by UWC, which does not provide TuiNa as a practice or speciality on its own. Anyone who has experienced TuiNa with a well trained practitioner will vouch for the efficacy of the treatments in both external and internal injuries and illnesses.
